Statistical Sources in Economics
Compiled by: Margaret S. Powell and Barbara L. Bell
----------------

Since 1980, various librarians and staff members have participated in the production and compilation of a comprehensive handbook for research in economics and business economics. The section on Statistical sources proved to be especially helpful to juniors as they began to search for data sources and variables in conjunction with their Independent Study regression analyses. The sources listed in the bibliography following however, can be useful to students in other disciplines, e.g., sociology or political science, in suggesting sources for statistics needed to back up research.

In order to make the bibliography more useful in the online version, sources for U.S. and international data have been listed in separate sections. Suggestions for improvement or additions should be addressed to the compiler or the webmaster listed at the bottom of each page.
